The B.C. Prosecution Service announced the charges on Friday, May 26.

The North Vancouver RCMP investigated the incidents, and a Crown Counsel lawyer with no prior connection to Volk reviewed the charges, Prosecution Service spokesperson Dan McLaughlin said in a statement.

No other information about the incidents was released.

Volk is scheduled to appear in Surrey Provincial Court on June 23.

Volk has served as a watch commander with the 91原创 RCMP, and in 2021 wrote a letter to 91原创 City mayor and council about RCMP members who attended a controversial gala fundraiser.

Persons charged with a criminal offence are considered not guilty until the charges are proven in court.
