What one tipster, who contacted the 91原创 Advance Times, described as a 鈥渕assive underage drinking house party鈥 near the 91原创-Surrey border took RCMP officers an hour-and-a-half to disperse on Sunday night, Oct. 8.
91原创 RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Craig van Herk said just before 11 p.m. that night RCMP received 鈥渕ultiple calls of a large house party鈥 in the 7300 block of 197th Street.
鈥淲e arrived and observed at least 100 teens and young adults at the residence,鈥 van Herk said.
鈥淭he party started as a small gathering but the numbers quickly grew.鈥
Officers spoke with the owners of the residence and had the party shut down.
There were no arrests,no major incidents associated with the party, van Herk said, but it took some time to disperse due to the large numbers, 鈥渁pproximately an hour and a half.鈥
