A few days after thieves stole $130,000 worth of jewelry during a late-night break-in at the Hudson鈥檚 Bay store in 91原创, a traffic stop in Abbotsford may have recovered the stolen items.

Limited details of the case were disclosed in a 91原创 RCMP report to Township council presented by Supt. Adrian Marsden, officer in charge of the 91原创 detachment, at the end of June.

It said on June 06, 2023, at 4:30 a.m., Mounties were called to investigate a break and enter at Hudson鈥檚 Bay store in the 19700-block Fraser Highway.

Around 1 a.m., an APD statement said, officers observed a suspicious vehicle with two occupants idling in the area of Clearbrook Rd and Joyce Ave.

A traffic stop resulted in the location and seizure of an estimated $123,000 worth of suspected stolen jewelry, multiple bags of suspected drugs, and $6,000.00 in Canadian currency.

Cst. Art Stele, APD media relations officer said the traffic stop file was 鈥渁waiting forensic lab results.鈥
