Shots were fired on Holly Street in Abbotsford on Thursday morning (Dec. 5) but no one was injured, police say.
Police were called at 7:42 a.m. to the 2100 block of Holly Street – west of Clearbrook Road and south of Peardonville Road.
Sgt. Paul Walker, media officer with the Abbotsford Police Department, said that before officers arrived, the suspects drove away in a red sedan.
He said officers confirmed that a residence had been shot at and that the incident appeared to be targeted.
Just before 8 a.m., a vehicle fire was reported at the closed Bradner Road rest stop on Highway 1.
"Officers arrived and learned from witnesses that individuals were seen running from what is believed to be the suspect vehicle," Walker said.
The area was contained, and a numerous officers were on hand, including those with the Lower Mainland Integrated Police Dog Service.
Walker said two men were located and arrested and remain in police custody. Police believe there is a third suspect, who would have last been seen in the area of Highway 1 and Brader Road.
Investigators are asking for witnesses and any dashcam footage from drivers who were in the vicinity of both locations to come forward.
