Police say the body of a woman was found Saturday morning around 2 a.m. following a fire near what appeared to be a homeless camp in a field a .
The discovery was made by the 91原创 Fire Department while extinguishing a grass fire.
91原创 RCMP Serious Crime is handling the investigation, said Cpl. Holly Largy. Foul play is not suspected.
鈥淭he investigation thus far suggests the presence of a homeless camp in the area of the fire and drug paraphernalia was found near the body,鈥� said Largy.
A forensic specialist with what appeared to be a metal detector could be observed suiting up in the area of a temporary shelter set up near a greenhouse.
An autopsy has been tentatively scheduled for Wednesday.
