Police identify victim of Sunday鈥檚 Richmond homicide

The Integrated Homicide Investigation team has identified Jasdeep Singh Klair as the man shot while driving his car in Richmond on Sunday afternoon.

According to IHIT, Richmond RCMP responded to a motor vehicle incident at Granville Avenue and Ledway Road at about 2:25 p.m. Upon arriving on scene, first responders found 24-year-old Jasdeep Singh Klair to be unresponsive and pronounced him dead. Police believe that Klair was shot while driving down Granville Avenue. A car was seen speeding away on Lindsay Road following the incident.

IHIT says that Klair is known to police and that the shooting is believed to be targeted. Investigators located the suspect vehicle in the 4400 block of Thompson Road within one hour of the shooting. It is described as a 2010 orange or reddish Kia Forte and was reported stolen from Surrey in March 2017.
