Police car skids into building

A police officer lost control of his cruiser at about 12:15 p.m. on Thursday, hit a median, sliced off the housing at the base of a lamp standard and crashed into the corner of Andreas Restaurant, 20227 56 Ave. The officer appeared unhurt, but the cruiser was badly damaged. He was responding to an emergency call of a robbery at Willowbrook Shopping Centre at the time, and the road was slick.
