One man sent to hospital after vehicle becomes engulfed in flames

Two car collision happened in Clayton Heights, on 91Ô´´/Surrey border

A motor vehicle accident on Sunday morning resulted in one of the vehicles becoming engulfed in flames.

The incident happened in Clayton Heights, in the 81 block of 192 Street, on the 91Ô´´/Surrey border.

The Surrey Fire Department was on the scene just before 11:30 a.m. and arrived to find what appeared to be a 1950s Ford pick-up truck fully engulfed in flames on the side of the road.

A Jeep Patriot allegedly collided with the rear of the Ford truck, forcing it off the road, where it then burst into flames.

The lone occupant of the Ford made it out of the vehicle safely and was transported to hospital with minor injuries.

Fire crews were able to extinguish the fire before it spread to the neighbouring brush.
