Aldergrove Community Secondary School will be the focus of a 鈥淢illion Dollar Rally鈥� Wednesday night in an attempt to showcase community support for a new proposed television series on finances and families. Bruce Heslop of the Aldergrove Business Association said the series could turn into great publicity for Aldergrove, so he鈥檚 hoping to see a large turnout Wednesday.
鈥淭he plan is to get 1,000 people out,鈥� he said. 鈥淲e鈥檙e going to crank it up.鈥�
Wednesday night鈥檚 event will feature filming, snacks and prizes. Participants are asked to meet at the school at 5 p.m., and there will be events going on until 9:30. Heslop said community support will be crucial to the series鈥� chances of success.
