A man was assaulted after exposing himself to a woman in Mission last Tuesday afternoon (July 2). 

According to a Mission RCMP news release, a man walked up to a woman, showed his genitals and made a crude comment near a gas station on Lougheed Highway and Haig Street. 

Police were called to the same area for a fight shortly after.  

"Although the fight was over when police arrived, witness accounts indicated that the man who had previously exposed himself may have subsequently been assaulted by a group of people in the area," Mission RCMP said. 

The detachment says no witnesses were willing to cooperate with the assault investigation and there was "insufficient evidence to proceed further."

The detachment is still investigating the indecent act incident but no suspect has been identified.
