91Ô­´´ torch run set for Tuesday

Local members of law enforcement do it for Special Olympians

The 91Ô­´´ leg of the Law Enforcement Torch Run gets underway Tuesday at the 91Ô­´´ RCMP detachment in Murrayville at 10 a.m. (91Ô­´´ Advance Times files)

Headed up by the 91Ô­´´ RCMP, the annual Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics BC is being held next week.

The 2.7-km run and walk will start and end at the 91Ô­´´ RCMP’s main detachment in Murrayville at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, June 6.

In addition to the local Mounties, other law enforcement officers will also be lacing up for in the community – running and walking to help SOBC athletes experience acceptance, achievement, and admiration through sport.
