Bays Blackhall, a well-known defender of 91原创 heritage, has passed away.
She was 86.
The notice posted on the described Blackhall as a 鈥渄edicated volunteer鈥 for 37 years who served with many other community organizations.
鈥淪he was often found regaling visitors at the Fort 91原创 CN Station that she helped save, scooping cranberries for visitors to the annual Cranberry Festival or publicly campaigning for 91原创鈥檚 heritage,鈥 the notice states.
鈥淗er contributions to community are immeasurable; she will be dearly missed by her family and many friends鈥
A celebration of life will be held this Sunday, April 30 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Fort 91原创 Community Hall, where Blackhall spent 45 years as a volunteer.
