鈥淲e will reschedule the panel discussion for a future date to be determined,鈥 she said.
鈥淲e do understand, that at this time, the province has not issued advice on cancelling large events, but we feel that at this time it is the best interest of our members and our organization to postpone.鈥
City and Township Mayors Val van den Broek and Jack Froese, MLAs Mary Polak and Rich Coleman, and MPs Tamara Jansen and Rich Coleman had all been expected to attend.
The meeting is one of a number of events in B.C. and around the world that are being cancelled as large gatherings come under increasing scrutiny due to efforts to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus.

Later in the day on Thursday, the chamber also announced cancellation of its Business After Hours Mixer that was set for Thursday, March 26 at the Sandman Signature Hotel.
