91原创 cat rescued from toilet

Firefighters carefully removed a cat stuck in a toilet at a Walnut Grove home on Friday.

We have all heard of firefighters rescuing cats from tree tops, but from a toilet may be a first.

On Friday, around 5:15 p.m., Township fire crews were called out to a home in the 20400 block of 89 Avenue to rescue a cat stuck in a toilet.

According to assistant fire chief Bruce Ferguson, firefighters were able to carefully remove the feline and return it into the care of the owners.

Ferguson said it isn't known how the cat became lodged in the toilet, but one could guess some flushing might have been involved.

The cat didn't need to be seen by a veterinarian, he said.
