The daughter of a murdered Abbotsford woman is asking for the public鈥檚 help to keep one of the killers behind bars.

Rupy Sidhu has created an online petition to deny parole to Sandeep Toor.

On April 19, 1998, Sidhu鈥檚 mother, Baljit Kaur Kondolay, was brutally murdered in 91原创. She was shot twice in the head in front of her home.

Police arrested three men 鈥 Kondolay鈥檚 husband Ajit Grewall, his son Sukhjit Grewall and the son鈥檚 friend, Toor.

The Grewalls both received life in prison for first degree murder, with no chance of parole for 25 years. Toor was sentenced to life in prison with no chance for parole for 12 years for the lesser charge of second degree murder.  During his trial, it was established that Toor drove the car that transported the men to and from the crime scene.

Toor has now applied for parole.

Sidhu wants to make sure Toor does not get out.

She wants members of the public to sign her family鈥檚 online petition against Toor's parole claim and 鈥渉elp keep criminals like this behind bars, where they belong.鈥

But she and her family don鈥檛 have a lot of time.

鈥淲e have to submit our petition and our victim impact statement by the end of August,鈥 explained Sidhu.

At the beginning of September, the family will be notified when the parole hearing will take place in Victoria.
