Aldergrove Credit Union Community Centre will close its pool area for the first three weeks of April.

An from the Township cited 鈥渟cheduled maintenance鈥� that will also require the shutdown of the entire facility for one day on Monday, April 1, and the closing of the fitness centre from Monday, April 1 to Wednesday, April 3.

The pool and pool area will be closed Monday, April 1 to Sunday, April 21.

鈥淧lease visit our other recreation facilities at W.C. Blair Recreation Centre and Walnut Grove Community Centre,鈥� the announcement advised.

Facilities at the centre, which opened in 2018, include swimming pools, an ice arena, and fitness centre.

The aquatics complex is considered the centrepiece of the project.

Its 25-metre lap pool, lifestyle pool, and hot tub remain open all year long, sheltered by a wooden canopy.

During the summer, the water park offers additional outdoor pool experiences ranging from competitive swimming to tots programming.

ACUCC also has a 600-seat ice arena, home to the 91原创 Kodiaks junior hockey team as well as figure skating, ringette, and lacrosse programs.

The community centre offers fitness and multi-purpose spaces as well as a running track to provide year-round activity within the complex. Support amenities include concession, public skate area, and the outdoor pool鈥檚 bathhouse amenities.

ACUCC had an unplanned six-day shutdown due to a power failure in January when a transformer exploded.
