The crash, which took place around 4:15 p.m. on July 20, at the eastbound on-ramp to the highway at the 264th Street interchange, resulted in the motorcycle rider being transported to hospital by Air Ambulance helicopter.
According to 91原创 Township assistant fire chief Russ Jenkins, the motorcycle rider was pinned underneath a pickup truck after the collision.
First responders had to use rescue equipment to lift the truck off the injured rider.
The Air Ambulance landed on the closed highway east of the crash site and picked up the rider for transport to hospital.
According to Cpl. Mike Moore of the BC Highway Patrol, the rider suffered serious injuries.
RCMP were on scene investigating, but the highway was re-opened to traffic heading east later in the evening.
This crash was one of three in and around the 264th Street intersection during the course of the day Wednesday.
