Abbotsford police stop drunk man on his way to truck-driving job

An impaired driver was stopped by police in Abbotsford Wednesday morning (Dec. 4) as he was on his way to work to drive a semi-truck.

A driver who was on his way to work to drive a semi-truck was found to be impaired on Wednesday morning (Dec. 4) in Abbotsford.

The Abbotsford Police Department (APD) posted on social media that at 6 a.m. patrol officers spotted a vehicle that was not staying in its lane.

They stopped the 45-year-old driver and found that he was impaired by alcohol, the post said.

The driver received a 90-day driving suspension, and his vehicle was impounded for 30 days.

"Can you believe that he asked us to cut him a break?" the APD post said.
