Abbotsford police are investigating the sexual assault of a youth at Downes Bowl Park on Monday night (April 14).
According to a news release from the Abbotsford Police Department, a girl was alone in the Haida Drive park between 10 p.m. and 11:45 p.m. when a man between 15 and 20 years old approached and sexually assaulted her.
Police say no suspect has been identified and the investigation is in the preliminary stages.
"The suspect is described as a dark-skinned male, around 5'5" tall, with a medium build, bowl-cut dark brown hair, and a short dark beard. He was wearing grey pants, a grey sweater, and white shoes," the news release reads.
Per the release, the APD sex crime unit believes the sexual assault was a random incident.
