Vancouver police say a 16-year-old faces several charges in the alleged stabbing of a cab drivers.
The teen, a Richmond resident, was arrested by Vancouver police on March 18 after an off-duty office witness the stabbing near Main and Hastings streets. Police say the off-duty officer alerted on-duty Vancouver police officers who responded and took the teen suspect into custody.
The 59-year-old cab driver had a non-life-threatening injury and was treated at hospital.
Police say the teen is charged with assault, assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon and assault causing bodily harm. The teen was granted bail and released from custody by the courts.
