Two men have been arrested and another one is seriously injured after a shooting in South Surrey.
The shooting took place Tuesday night (March 11) with police responding to the scene at 33 Avenue in the 15100 block just after 11:15 p.m. after reports of multiple shots fired, according to a Surrey Police release.
Surrey RCMP were able to locate one man who was suffering from gunshot wounds and was administered care by Surrey Fire and paramedics. The victim was taken to hospital in "critical but stable condition," police state.
RCMP's Gang Enforcement Team began investigating and found a suspect car nearby and according to police, the suspects tried to flee the scene and in attempting to do so, caused a single-vehicle collision. The two men were arrested by the Gang Enforcement Team and with support from police dogs, SPS state.
The two men are still in custody as officers continue to investigate the shooting.
