An Alberta cabinet minister is flatly denying that the firing of a controversial environmentalist from a government-appointed committee is due to her support for the NDP in British Columbia.
Tzeporah Berman and four other members of Alberta鈥檚 Oil Sands Advisory Group have been let go from the 18-member panel.

Alberta鈥檚 Environment Minister Shannon Phillips says the four had provided some valuable expertise but the panel鈥檚 focus is now changing.
