After taking last term off to focus on her family, Teri James is once again throwing her hat in the ring for a position on 91原创 City Council.

James has been vested in 91原创 City for almost 20 years, both as the Executive Director for the Downtown 91原创 Business Association for the past 18 years, and as a City Councillor, serving three terms from 2005 to 2011.

鈥淢y motivation for running again is because I feel I have a lot to contribute,鈥� she explained.

鈥淎fter sitting out a term and watching the unprecedented growth in this community, I realize that this is my passion and I want very much to be a part of the decision making going forward.鈥�

鈥淪ocial issues continue to be an increasing concern for me. Homelessness, now a global situation, crime, future transportation needs and pressure on our fragile infrastructure continue to be priorities for me,鈥� James stated.

鈥淢ost importantly, however, is the vision for the future of this amazing community, to ensure the quality of life for its citizens for generations to come.鈥�

In her previous terms she contributed to advancing our City with sound decisions following extensive research and communication with residents and business people alike.

Her knowledge of critical elements such as economic development, need for attracting investment to our commercial core, balanced budgets, transportation and infrastructure upgrades is extensive and will serve us all well at the council table. Teri will serve the citizens of the City of 91原创 with critical thinking in a business-like manner to ensure we continue to move forward.鈥�
