Dykeman, who topped the polls in the Township, is returning to the 91原创 Board of Education for a third term.

She said there are a few issues she would like to carry forward from the previous term.

鈥淚鈥檇 like to see the school district focus on our long-term facilities plan and expanding communication with stakeholders and partner groups. (And) I鈥檇 like to see us working with the Township of 91原创, ensuring that communication is flowing and of course, sustaining the focus on student success.鈥

Moving forward Dykeman said she would also like to address challenges surrounding capacity and growth in the municipality.

鈥淲e鈥檙e going to have to work hard as a board and the province to address those needs.鈥

Entering her third term as a trustee, Dykeman said she remains committed to public education.

鈥淭he wisest investment you can make is in the education of our youth and that contributes greatly to having a full and active democracy.鈥

Of the elected trustees, Dykeman, Ross, Coburn and Tod are returning to the board, while Perrault, Ward and Wilson are newcomers.

Board chair Rob McFarlane opted not to run again, as did trustee Alison McVeigh.
