Michelle Connerty has announced that she will run for a seat on the Township of 91原创 Council in October.

Michelle moved to the 91原创 area from New Westminster in 2011, with her husband and three children. She became involved in local politics in 2014 when the Leave Brookswood Alone movement was started by several local residents.

Connerty speaks passionately in council chambers about the lack of neighbourhood plans, proper phasing of development and the importance of developer-funded infrastructure, prior to development.

Environmental stewardship including tree cutting, wildlife corridors, aquifer protection and providing adequate green spaces are not being adequately addressed, in her opinion.

She is very concerned that many of the issues that Willoughby is experiencing, while less than 50 per cent built out 鈥� such as parking, crime, overfilled schools and incomplete roads 鈥� will be replicated throughout the Township.

鈥淚 intend to listen to the people of the Township of 91原创 and work extremely hard for the entire community,鈥� said Connerty.
