Councillor Paul Albrecht has decided he will not seek the mayor’s chair in 91Ô´´ City this October, opting instead to run for a seat on council once again.

Councillor Paul Albrecht has announced he will not seek the mayor’s chair for 91Ô´´ City in the upcoming muncipal election.

Instead, he will once again run for a seat on council. The decision comes just days after former 91Ô´´ City mayor Peter Fassbender announced he will once again run for the municipality’s highest office.

Albrecht made the announcement in an open letter to the residents of 91Ô´´ City, which has been included in its entirety below:

Dear 91Ô´´ City Citizens,

After much reflection and many conversations with supporters and respected members of the community, I have decided to seek re-election as councillor rather than mayor.

I have given this considerable thought over the past few weeks and feel that it is the right thing to do for both the community and my family.

If re-elected the opportunity to gain additional experience and knowledge is too great for me to ignore.

We are entering an exciting era for 91Ô´´ City with great opportunities that I want to be part of.

I am proud of what we have accomplished these past four years but there is so much more to be done.

I want to thank my many supporters and hope that you can understand and respect my decision. I care deeply for our community and will always be an advocate for our residents’ best interests.

Paul Albrecht
