There are many reasons a business might choose 91原创 as their home base. For Kim Galick, owner of , it was a no-brainer.

鈥淚鈥檝e literally lived here my whole life. Ready for this? I鈥檝e lived in 91原创 for 50 years! Wow, that makes me old,鈥� she laughs. 鈥淎lthough 91原创 was growing ten years ago, it still had that small town feeling. 91原创 City still feels that way to me. There are many independent businesses, shops and restaurants right in the core of 91原创 City and it was important to me to support the community where I live.鈥�

That community of small business owners supports her, and she supports them in return.

鈥淥ur neighbours, Vicki鈥檚 Paw Spa, have helped us more times than we can count! And we do the same for them,鈥� she says.

That community spirit is also behind Ears Hearing Clinic鈥檚 yearly participation in the Downtown 91原创 Business Association鈥檚 Christmas shopping contest, this year called . Shop downtown at from now until Dec. 24 for a chance to win one of ten $1000 prizes in Downtown Dollars!

鈥淓ars Hearing participates every year. I鈥檝e always felt we should support businesses in our own community, especially since the pandemic began. Small businesses need the community鈥檚 help more than ever. It鈥檚 a struggle every day to compete with the large corporations,鈥� Kim says.

鈥淚t takes creativity to bring the community to our businesses and we are so very thankful to have the DLBA constantly promoting all of the businesses in the downtown core and coming up with ideas to keep the community engaged and interested in our businesses.鈥�
