A golden anniversary deserves a gala celebration, especially when that anniversary reflects 50 years of caring for the community.

Titled "Celebrating the past 鈥� preparing for the future," the event promises an evening filled with reflections on the residence's long history and what's coming up for the future of senior care in 91原创.
's "Secret Garden" theme is a nod to the natural beauty at the residence. "We鈥檝e built on the greenhouse space of the home as flowers have always been an important part of the current care home," says 91原创 Lodge CEO Aly Devji. "This anniversary is about and looking forward to what we can achieve in the years to come."
The gala will include a delicious dinner, live music and a live auction. 鈥淭he most exciting part of this celebration is seeing the community come together to recognize 50 years of caring for our seniors," Devji says.
"We鈥檙e celebrating not just the connections we鈥檝e made over the years, but also our healthcare heroes who have worked tirelessly to provide compassionate care. It鈥檚 an opportunity to recognize where we鈥檝e been and the bright future we can build together."
The organization offers 24-hour nursing care and an array of services, including recreation therapy, physiotherapy and a unique Nurse Practitioner-led care approach. Beyond its residential services, 91原创 Lodge runs a Senior Peer Outreach Program, providing isolated seniors in the local community with lunch, activities and companionship on a weekly basis.
"Our work is essential," Devji emphasizes. "Seniors are among the most vulnerable in our society. Many of our residents suffer from dementia or chronic illnesses, and our staff is dedicated to making sure they receive the best care. We always say, 鈥榳e work in their home.鈥� It鈥檚 about creating a community within these walls."
One of the lodge鈥檚 proudest achievements is its exemplary standing accreditation, renewed every three years and its 2011 expansion, which added a new wing and private rooms for all residents. "We have a strong reputation in the community, and some of our staff have been with us for over 40 years," Devji says.
The 50th anniversary holds deep significance for 91原创 Lodge, its residents and the 91原创 community. "This milestone represents sustainability and longevity," says Devji. The home was originally opened in 1974 to take pressure off the local hospital, and that need has only grown as 91原创鈥檚 aging population increases.
