鈥淭he cream liqueurs and spirits are popular this time of year, and there鈥檚 some new products out, such as Carolan鈥檚 Salted Caramel, which we expect to do well,鈥� she says. Similarly, Bailey鈥檚 has branched out from its original Irish cream and now has five varieties, also including Chocolate Cherry, Vanilla Cinnamon, Espresso Creme and Salted Caramel.
These liqueurs and others feature in these delicious seasonal recipes:
Milk Moose Punch
Ingredients: one 750ml bottle each of Kahlua (or any coffee liqueur), vodka, Irish cream (such as Baileys or Carolan鈥檚), and six litres of eggnog.
- Chill the coffee liqueur, vodka, and Irish cream in the refrigerator at least 12 hours.
- Pour the coffee liqueur and vodka into a 12-quart punch bowl. Whisk in the Irish cream, followed by the egg nog, until evenly blended. Serve immediately.
Cranberry Martini
Ingredients - 1.5 fluid oz. vodka, 1/2 oz. orange liqueur (such as Grand Marnier or Triple Sec), 1/2 oz. dry vermouth, 1.5 oz. cranberry juice, 1 cup of ice, cranberries.
- Combine vodka, orange liqueur, vermouth, cranberry juice and ice in a cocktail shaker. Shake vigorously to chill. Pour into martini glasses, and serve.
- Garnish with cranberries.
