When Dr. Fatemeh Basij, DDS, took over the Allard Dental Centre in 2018, she made big plans to upgrade equipment and services, while keeping the heart of the small family practice the same.
3 years later her plans are already coming to life. New technology and double the patient rooms means service is more efficient and convenient. And their continued commitment to compassionate care has meant that existing clients keep coming back — some of them are second or third generation patients whose families have been coming to since 1992!

“In the past three years we have invested a lot in technology and office renovations to be able to offer higher standard care and more appointments,” says Majid Afyounian, Allard Dental’s general manager.
New dental chairs, digital 3D scanners, digital X-Rays and other technology bring faster, more accurate dental care to patients. The upgrades also allow the team at Allard Dental to welcome more patients, including the many new families who’ve moved to 91ԭ recently.
“People can see the difference!” Dr. Basij says. “They saw how slow the paper chart system was, and how much more efficient everything is now.”

That added efficiency means it’s much easier for young families to complete their cleanings together, all in one visit. With multiple dentist chairs, some family members can visit dental hygienists while another receives their check-up or dental treatment from Dr. Basij or her specialist associate.
The clinic is , and until 6 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays, so it’s easy to work around school and work schedules — and there’s plenty of free parking, with easy access for strollers and mobility aids.
“We’ll work together and specialize that time for your family, so the whole family is ready in a couple hours. It gives that extra peace of mind, especially during the pandemic, that you can get all your check-ups done in one visit,” Dr. Basij says.
Regular dental cleaning and check-ups are an important part of your body’s health, and catching issues early can prevent painful, invasive treatments. And the clinic goes the extra mile to help anxious patients have a pleasant experience.
“We have so many plants! Everybody brings it up. It’s a calming environment, with big windows in every room,” Dr. Basij says. “I’m also certified in sedation dentistry, so patients can just come a little early, receive medication and sit down in the dental chair stress-free.”
