For Jesse Pooni , Jaclyn and Vicki, Tommy Gun's Barbershop is more than a workplace 鈥 it鈥檚 been a decade-long journey of growth and friendship. As they prepare to open a, the trio reflect on their dedication to the brand and the excitement of this next chapter.

Jesse's career began more than 10 years ago when he joined the in the Lower Mainland, working alongside Jaclyn and Vicki. Back then, Tommy Gun's was a budding brand under the same corporate umbrella as Chatters Hair Salon. 鈥淚 was actually the district manager for both Chatters and Tommy Gun's when they first launched in the area,鈥 Jesse says. 鈥淚t鈥檚 funny to think that was 10 years ago. Time has flown by, and so much has changed.鈥

What hasn鈥檛 changed is the barbershop's commitment to grooming excellence. In 2019, after years of helping grow the brand from the corporate side, Jesse took a leap of faith and became the franchisee of the. 鈥淲hen the head office approached me, it didn鈥檛 feel like a typical business deal 鈥 it felt like a family inviting me to be a bigger part of something I believed in.鈥

As Jesse prepares to open the newest location at the Thunderbird Centre 鈥 for the Canadian family-owned franchise 鈥 he couldn't be more excited. 鈥淭his new shop is special. It鈥檚 got a brand-new look 鈥 clean, modern and designed with the guest experience in mind,鈥 he says. 鈥淚鈥檓 really looking forward to welcoming people into this space, especially families. It鈥檚 the perfect place for a father and son to share a great experience.鈥

Jesse isn鈥檛 embarking on this new venture alone. Vicki, who's been with Tommy Gun's for five years, is stepping into the role of owner-operator for the first time. 鈥淚鈥檓 excited to be a first-time business owner and to grow with Tommy Gun's long-term because it鈥檚 such a fun place to work,鈥 Vicki says. 鈥淭he people I鈥檝e met and the guests who come in 鈥 you can grow with them and build a strong connection. It鈥檚 probably the best work culture I鈥檝e ever been part of.鈥

Jaclyn, another key player in the new location, shares these sentiments. With a long history working alongside Jesse and Vicki, she鈥檚 eager to contribute to the success of the Thunderbird Centre shop. 鈥淲e鈥檝e grown as a family, and this is going to be another family that we want to build together,鈥 Jaclyn says. 鈥淭ommy Gun's isn鈥檛 just about cutting hair 鈥 it鈥檚 about creating an experience. Right when you walk in the door, you鈥檙e not just a customer, you鈥檙e family.鈥

For Jesse, Vicki and Jaclyn, the new location isn鈥檛 just about expansion; it鈥檚 about continuing a legacy of exceptional service and community connection. 鈥淲hat I love most about working at Tommy Gun's is the people 鈥 both the team and the guests,鈥 Jesse says. 鈥淧roviding a safe and supportive place for my team to do their best work and creating an experience that our guests will remember 鈥 that鈥檚 what it鈥檚 all about.鈥
