Mark your calendars: returns to Saturday, Sept.7, bringing a day full of family-friendly fun!

From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., residents are invited to explore local businesses, enjoy free activities and win exciting prizes, all while getting better acquainted with all their neighbourhood has to offer.

"We're really excited to bring the event back again this year," said Tracey Ehman, Marketing Coordinator at Willoughby Town Centre."The community really looks forward to it, and it鈥檚 a great way for people to connect with the local businesses that make this area so special.鈥�

Passport to prizes

One of the key highlights ofDAYZ is the Passport 鈥� a fun and interactive way for attendees to explore all the shops and services available at the centre. 

Beginning at 11 a.m., pick up a passport from Gulf & Fraser or any of the participating businesses and start your journey through the town centre to collect stamps! 

Once the passport is fully stamped, enter it into a draw to win one of more than 20 prize baskets filled with gift certificates and products donated by local merchants, with a total prize value of  $4,000! (Please note - only one passport per family.)

"The Passport is always a big hit," Ehman notes. 

"It's a win-win for everyone 鈥� families have a great time visiting the different businesses, and the businesses get a chance to show what they have to offer. Last year, we gave away 23 baskets, and we're expecting the excitement to be just as high this year."

Entertainment for the entire family

Willoughby DAYZ offers plenty of free activities to entertain kids and adults alike. Face painting, glitter tattoos, balloon artists and a "crazy hair" station are just some of the highlights families can look forward to. 

鈥淭his event is all about bringing people together in a fun and engaging way,鈥� Ehman says. 

鈥淲e have over 50 businesses participating, and many will have special offers or activities during the event. It鈥檚 a chance for residents to leave their cars at home, walk over, and enjoy a fantastic day out.鈥�

After all, 鈥渟upporting local businesses is more important than ever,鈥� Ehman says. 鈥淭hese events give people the chance to see what鈥檚 available right in their neighbourhood, whether they鈥檙e picking up everyday essentials or treating themselves to something special. 

"At the end of the day, it's all about fostering that community connection. It鈥檚 wonderful to see everyone come together, meet their neighbours and experience the town centre as a hub for both business and friendship."
