Dr. Kanwarveer Grewal wants to remind everyone that oral health plays a vital role in maintaining overall health.
鈥淒ental health should not be neglected because of the current situation, we don鈥檛 know how long it鈥檚 going to take for things to get back to the old normal, so I recommend people talk to their dentist regarding their dental concerns and get the necessary treatment done,鈥 says Dr. Grewal, who operates the alongside Dr. Satpreet Singh.
He adds getting regular check-ups and teeth cleaning play a big role in preventative health care. With timely interception many teeth and gum related diseases can prevented.
Dr. Grewal and Dr. Singh have been providing emergency services at their 91原创 dental clinic since the time COVID-19 was declared a pandemic and were among very few dental offices open at that time.
鈥淲e had patients coming in from Richmond and Mission to have emergency procedures done back in April and May,鈥 says Dr. Grewal. 鈥淲e were giving prescriptions over the phone and doing only emergency procedures, like extractions and treating dental infections.鈥
Dr. Grewal adds that at present their dental office is providing most treatment options to help restore smiles back on their patient鈥檚 faces.
鈥淲e鈥檙e taking all proper precautions and our dedicated doctors offer all aspects of dentistry, including cleaning, fillings, crowns and bridges, extractions, implants, dentures and Invisalign for straightening your teeth. We also provide sedation options for those patients who need it,鈥 says Dr. Grewal.
Since the first day reopened, all staff have been following the mandated COVID-19 safety protocols, including proper disinfection, use of personal, protective equipment such as masks and gowns, and practicing social distancing. He notes all patients are pre-screened using a COVID-19 questionnaire forms and are required to bring a mask with them. The clinic also provides masks if required, at no charge.
At present, appointments are scheduled as such to reduce contact with other patients. Special requests for late evening or early morning appointments or for seniors or persons with compromised health issues are accommodated.
Dr. Grewal notes their brand-new, high-tech office has been open since last December and welcomes all patients for their dental health care needs.
Dr. Grewal further stresses 鈥渟ince the COVID situation, dietary habits have changed a lot, If gums bleed while brushing or there is any sensitivity, pain, swelling or jaw problems, those symptoms need to be checked and treated timely and appropriately before it gets worse, saving lot of stress and discomfort.鈥
