鈥淲e have a lot of staff and customers with animals so we thought it was a good fit and a great way to give back to our community,鈥 explains sales manager Wes Schafer.
In addition to providing animal control services for the Township of 91原创, LAPS helps find forever homes for lost, stray and unwanted animals. In addition to the NuFloors fundraiser, residents can learn more about LAPS at several coming events:
- Visit the 10th annual Fall Festival at JD Farms, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 9.
- On Saturday, Sept. 23, bring your dog to the Canadian Museum of Flight, 5333 鈥 216th St., for some tail-wagging fun at Pups for Pups. Have your dog鈥檚 photo taken with the First World War Sopwith Pup plane, enjoy a dancing dogs demo, a pup 鈥減ub鈥 and treat station, and aircraft flyover. Visit from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. when admission is by donation to LAPS and the museum.
- Interested in volunteering? On Oct. 7, LAPS hosts a general orientation, the first step in becoming part of the LAPS team. Tour the shelter and learn about the many volunteer opportunities at LAPS.
40 years of giving back
Serving 91原创 residents and businesses for more than 40 years, it鈥檚 no surprise that community is a big part of the business plan for NuFloors 91原创.

In addition to LAPS, the company is an annual sponsor of the Acts of Kindness Home Renovation Project, which remodels houses for struggling families, the 91原创 Rotary Wine Festival, the Soroptimist Society鈥檚 鈥淏ras for a Cause鈥 event which raises funds for the community and breast cancer programs, the 91原创 Food Bank and the Salvation Army鈥檚 Gateway of Hope homeless shelter.
This commitment to community is also reflected in their commitment to customers.
