is embarking on a new chapter of enhanced accessibility and community engagement under the ownership of Dr. Brad Watson and Dr. Robyn Papadimatos. The pair recently took over the long-standing with a vision to make dental care more inclusive and convenient.

鈥淩obyn and I are thrilled to continue Bedford Dental鈥檚 legacy of providing top-notch care while making key changes to better serve our patients,鈥� says Dr. Watson, who studied dentistry in Australia before returning to Canada to practice. 鈥淲e鈥檙e working to  extend hours to include evenings and Saturdays, ensuring accessibility for working families and busy individuals.鈥�

The new hours mark a shift from the clinic鈥檚 previous schedule of Monday to Thursday, 9 to 5. Patients will soon be able to book appointments as late as 7 p.m. on select weekdays and on Saturdays, addressing a common challenge for those juggling daytime work. 

Embracing federal dental plan 

The new owners are also working with the. Designed to provide essential dental care for low- and middle-income families, the program is not universally adopted by clinics.

鈥淲e鈥檙e working in Canada, and we believe it鈥檚 our duty to support this program,鈥�  Dr. Watson explains. 鈥淏y accepting the federal dental plan, we鈥檙e opening our doors to patients who have historically been neglected due to financial barriers. It鈥檚 about creating a space where everyone has access to care.鈥�

To accommodate the program鈥檚 demand, the team has prioritized a move that has resonated positively with the community. 鈥淥ur extended hours help ensure that people who qualify for the plan can get the treatment they need at a time that works for them,鈥� Dr. Papadimatos adds. 

Keeping it local

Bedford Dental鈥檚 commitment to Fort 91原创鈥檚 small-town charm remains a cornerstone of its philosophy. With a mix of long-time professionals and new energy, the clinic retains its family-like atmosphere. Dr. Chen Campbell, who purchased the clinic in 2005, continues to practice alongside the new owners. 

Offering a multitude of cosmetic services like veneers, crowns, Botox, as well as basic general dentistry. Dr. Grant Rawstron, another long-standing team member and original owner, continues to offer specialized denture and prosthodontic services.

鈥淗aving Dr. Grant鈥檚 expertise in-house is a real gem for the community,鈥� Dr. Watson says. 鈥淧atients can get  denture work  done locally without having to leave Fort 91原创.鈥�

Building trust through community

Dr. Watson  has deep ties to the area. 鈥淚 grew up in the 91原创 area, 鈥� Dr. Watson shares. 鈥淔ort 91原创 has always been a special place to me, with its unique mix of history and community. We鈥檙e excited to build relationships here, whether it鈥檚 by supporting local schools, farmers鈥� markets, or just being a reliable presence in town.鈥�

Looking ahead, the clinic plans to further expand its services, including moderate sedation for patients with dental anxiety and new technology to improve access and comfort.
