Vancouver FC is parting ways with four players following the wrapup of the 2023 Canadian Premier League (CPL) season, including the one who scored the new team鈥檚 historic first goal.

VFC announced it has declined the 2024 contract club options for forwards Shaan Hundal and Nathaniel St. Louis, midfielder Nicky Gyimah, and goalkeeper Jeremy Zielinski.

Hundal, 24, became the ninth signing to VFC鈥檚 roster in January 2023 after previously playing for Inter Miami CF II in MLS Next Pro in 2022.

The native of Brampton, Ont. registered Vancouver鈥檚 first-ever goal on Apr. 22 against York United FC in the club鈥檚 eventual first franchise victory. Hundal made 21 starts in 29 total appearances this season to register 1,899 minutes.

St. Louis, 22, joined Vancouver out of the University of Alabama at Birmingham in NCAA Division I play to be the club鈥檚 fifth signing. The native of Toronto, Ont. made his professional debut in VFC鈥檚 Canadian Championship match on Apr. 19. St. Louis made one start in five total appearances this season to register 80 minutes.

Gyimah, 20, joined Vancouver FC after previously representing English sides Sunderland A.F.C. at the under-23 level, Peterborough United and Slough Town F.C. He made eight consecutive appearances to begin his first season in the CPL. Gyimah made two starts in 12 total appearances this season to register 251 minutes.

Zielinski, 24, was one of three players to join Vancouver FC from open trials after previously playing for Hawai鈥檌 Pacific University. Zielinski made his professional debut in his lone appearance in 2023 against Halifax Wanderers FC on Jul. 7.
