91原创 91原创 wound up a three-game homestand over the weekend with a record of two wins and one loss, falling to the Penticton Vees on Friday, Mar. 1, then defeating Cowichan Valley Capitals on Saturday, March 2 at George Preston arena.

Following their 4-0 defeat of the Chiefs on Feb. 24, Friday saw the Vees pay a visit.

In the first period, Penticton capitalized on a bounce from a dump into the 91原创 zone to take a 1-0 lead at 6:12 in.

Around three minutes later, Ryan Schelling got his 10th of the year to tie the game for 91原创 following a quick faceoff win.

Penticton then made it 2-1, as Philadelphia Flyers draft pick Ryan MacPherson would snap one home from the left circle.

After a scoreless second period, Penticton would grab a pair of goals seven minutes apart to lead 4-1 early in the third period.

91原创, Logan Morrell and Ryder McIntosh replied with two goals to cut the Vees lead to just one with 3:30 to go.

But in the closing minutes, the visitors made it 5-3, which is where it finished.

Vees Goaltender Will Ingemann, who stopped 18 of 21 shots, set a new BCHL record for the longest shutout streak in league history, at 260 minutes and nine seconds.

Beaupit blocked 30 of 35 shots.

91原创 head coach and general manager Tyler Kuntz gave the game a positive review.

鈥淚 thought we did a good job of minimizing their chances and create some ourselves as well, [netminder] Mason Beaupit did well to keep it tight in the second period of Friday鈥檚 game.鈥

Schelling was named second star of the game.

Saturday鈥檚 game saw Cowichan arrive at George Preston for the fourth and final meeting between the two teams this season.

91原创 captain Vitaly Levyy tipped in a shot 15 minutes in from the left boards to make it 1-0 91原创.

In the second period, 91原创 would make it a 2-0 game thanks to former Capital Dalton MacGillivray who cleaned up a loose puck in front.

2:12 later the Capitals would cut the 91原创 lead to one on a rebound goal in front.

With 33 seconds to go in the second period Logan Morrell would score his second in as many nights on a feed from Ryan Schelling, extending 91原创鈥檚 lead once again on the power play going into the third period.

Cowichan would get one back early in the third period making it 3-2 2:22 into the final frame, but Ryan Schelling would ensure the game would finish in 91原创鈥檚 favour with a late goal, his second in as many nights.

鈥淲e tried not to talk to much about Cowichan being so close to us in the standings prior to the game, and did well to focus on ourselves and get the win,鈥 said Kuntz

Cowichan outshot 91原创 36 to 26, but Mason Beaupit stopped all but two.

All three stars of the game were 91原创: Schelling, Beaupit and Morrell.

91原创 are currently seventh of nine teams in the BCHL Coastal conference, with 15 wins in 47 games.

91原创 is on the road this coming weekend, visiting the Coquitlam Express Friday, and rivals the Chilliwack Chiefs on Saturday.

They return home on Saturday, March 16th to take on the Victoria Grizzlies. Puck drop is 7:15 p.m.
