The Vancouver Stealth ended their regular season on a high note, beating the New England Black Wolves Saturday 17-16.

鈥淚t was a great game and it may have been the greatest game I have ever been a part of in my whole life,鈥 said assistant general manager and head coach Jamie Batley. 鈥淚 have to give the guys a lot of credit, we were exhausted in the first quarter. To come out with a gutsy win like that is very impressive.鈥

The teams combined for eight multi-goal runs, including separate five-goal runs in the second half.

Corey Small didn鈥檛 find the net until 20 minutes into the game, but then went on to score the game鈥檚 26th goal as well, leaving the score at 15-11 in the Stealth鈥檚 favour.

The Black Wolves then had a spectacular run, bringing the score to 16-15 and puttin the Stealth behind by one.

Small tied the game with 18 seconds to go, and then finished his game by scoring the winner in overtime. In total, he scored seven points in the game and is now tied with Rhys Duch and Colin Dolin for most points in a single season, with 111.

Duch himself added three goals and seven points.

鈥淚 am a little tired but super excited for this group,鈥 said Duch. 鈥淭he way this team is playing, the run we are on, we are creating Stealth fans in Vancouver and not just lacrosse fans. People are seeing what we are doing and they are getting excited. So, I challenge the Vancouver community to sell out the 91原创 Events Centre next weekend.鈥

Vancouver next meets up with the Colorado Mammoth in the West Division Semifinal. The Stealth will play host at the LEC on May 6 at 7 p.m.
