Singing forward signed by Vancouver Giants

London Hoilett has released an album as 鈥楾y Kiddo鈥

A Vancouver Giants trade deal that acquired 2005-born forward London Hoilett from the Calgary Hitmen means an aspiring singer is now playing for the team co-owned by music legend Michael Bubl茅, winner of 14 Juno and four Grammy awards, who鈥檚 had a minority stake in the WHL club since 2008.

Hoilett, signed in exchange for a sixth-round draft pick in 2025, is also know as 鈥淭y Kiddo鈥 an who has posted several videos on YouTube.

His debut album 鈥淐an鈥檛 Sit Still鈥 was released on streaming services in January 2023.

It鈥檚 first track, 鈥淰ibe 2 Night鈥 has lyrics like 鈥淚t鈥檚 gon鈥 be a whole vibe tonight, me and my bros gon鈥 fly tonight.鈥

However, it was Hoilett鈥檚 performance on ice, not in front of of a microphone, that attracted the Giants鈥 attention.

After making the Calgary Hitmen roster out of training camp in the 2022-23 season as a undrafted free agent, Hoilett scored 12 goals and added five assists for 17 points in 61 games last season as a 17-year-old.

In 87 career games, the 6-foot, 182 lb. forward has 20 points.

鈥淲e鈥檙e excited to add London to our lineup,鈥 Giants General Manager Barclay Parneta said.

Hoilett also has the unique distinction of scoring the Teddy Bear toss goal for Calgary in back-to-back seasons.

Hitmen General Manager Garry Davidson, describing Hoilette as 鈥渁 first class individual,鈥 said the team viewed the trade as an 鈥渙pportunity to move London to a team where he has increased opportunity to expand his role.鈥

Prior to his time with the Hitmen, the Winnipeg native played for the RINK Hockey Academy in his home town for three years.

His trade was announced Dec. 13, and Hoilett made his debut as a Giants player over the weekend.

In his second game as a Giant, Hoilett assisted on one of only two Giants goals scored against the Prince George Cougars on Saturday, Dec. 16 at 91原创 Events centre.
