91原创 91原创 defencemen Luke Ashton and Gabriel Guilbault have been named to the BCHL Coastal Conference roster for the league鈥檚 2024 Top Prospects Game on Jan. 19 at the South Okanagan Events Centre.
Guilbault was an automatic entry due to being listed on NHL Central Scouting鈥檚 Players to Watch list.
Names of Coastal Conference and Interior Conference players were based on a vote by BCHL head coaches and general managers, as well as input from NHL Central Scouting,
Puck drops at 6 p.m. Players will compete against each other for 60 minutes to determine a winner in front of fans, pro scouts and NCAA coaches.
BCHL will also hold an outdoor Alumni & Friends Game, Skills Competition and All-Star Tournament on the outdoor rink. Saturday, Jan 20
Both Ashton and Guilbault were added to the roster in June.
Ashton was acquired from the Vernon Vipers.
At the time, Head Coach Burt Henderson described Ashton as a 鈥済ame changer.鈥
鈥淎t 6鈥 5鈥, his presence on the ice is felt by everyone. His experience with the Vipers over the last two seasons has shaped him into a dominant force in defence. We鈥檙e excited to have him bolster our back end,鈥 Henderson commented.

When Gabriel Guilbault was signed from the Penticton Vees, Henderson said he looking forward to working with the 17-year-old 6鈥2鈥 defenceman again.
鈥淚 first saw him as a youth playing in the 91原创 spring programs,鈥 said Henderson.
鈥滺is dedication and skill were evident even then, and I鈥檓 thrilled to see how he has developed as a player.鈥
