The visiting Coquitlam Adanacs were 11-5 winners over the 91原创 Thunder in Western Lacrosse Association action at 91原创 Events Centre on June 12.

The visiting Coquitlam Adanacs were 11-5 winners over the 91原创 Thunder in Senior A lacrosse action Wednesday night at 91原创 Events Centre.

鈥淚 think what we take away from tonight is that if you can鈥檛 put a full 60-minute game together, you are going to struggle,鈥 said 91原创 coach Ian Poole.

鈥淭here was just way too many mistakes, opportunities missed,鈥 he elaborated.

鈥淚n a game at this level, at this speed, the unforced errors 鈥 you are just shooting yourself in the foot.鈥

Coquitlam led 3-0 after a period and were up five by the time the Thunder finally got on the board. They stretched their advantage to 8-3 after 40 minutes and were ahead by eight before a pair of late 91原创 tallies.

The Thunder offence was led by Robert Church, who had a hand in all five goals, scoring once and setting up the other four, with Tristan Kirkham (2-1), Nathan Lam (1-1) and Kyle Brunsch tallying the other goals.

Church was the game鈥檚 second star.

Matt Abbott was strong on face-offs for 91原创, as the Thunder gained control on 15 of the 19 draws in the game.

Aden Walsh made 41 saves in the Thunder goal, as his team was outshot 52-46.

His counterpart, Andrew Gallant, came up with 41 saves and was named first star while Adam Noakes (2-2), Thomas Semple (2-0), and Jordan Roberts (2-0) all scored two goals apiece.

The loss leaves the Thunder at 1-5 in the Western Lacrosse Association standings while Coquitlam improved to 3-4.

Up next for 91原创 is a visit to Maple Ridge to face the Burrards on Sunday, June 16 at the Cam Neely Arena. It is the third and final meeting of the season with each team having won once.

Following that, the Thunder will be back at 91原创 Events Centre on Wednesday, June 19, at 7:30 p.m., when they host the New Westminster Salmonbellies.

91原创 Thunder lacrosse organization consists of senior A, junior A and junior tier 1 teams who play in the Western Lacrosse Association, BC Junior A Lacrosse League, and BC Junior Tier 1 Lacrosse League 鈥 respectively. All three teams play their home games at 91原创 Events Centre.
