91原创 Trappers balanced their wins and loses this season following their 5-1 win over the Aldergrove Kodiaks at the George Preston arena on Friday evening, Dec. 20. 

Jett Carroll, with Ian Burns and Ryan Howe assisting, scored first goal for 91原创 midway through first period, soon followed by his second goal with an assist from Patrick Coopman at 14:19.

With minutes left in the first, Aldergrove's Jasha Bichin, with an assist from Taran Biring, scored the Kodiak's first and only goal of the night at 18:32. 

Aldergrove returned to the ice for second period with a new energy, keeping 91原创 on the defense of their goal most of the game. Neither team managed a goal.

Five minutes into the third, 91原创's Parker Scott scored the team's third goal without assistance. Easton Melanson scored a fourth goal for 91原创 with assistance from Carroll and Howe at 14:17, and only 17 seconds later Avraham Brown scored 91原创's fifth goal of the night, with an assist from Issac Zed and Matteo Appezzato. 

Aldergrove faced nearly a dozen penalties, with 91原创 serving four, throughout the game.

Kodiaks netminder Kyle Spak was a lot busier than Trappers rival Jake Torget as Trappers outshot Kodiaks 45 to 27.

Torget recently joined the Trappers after playing Flint Flon Bombers and the Lloydminster Bobcats earlier this season. He was with the BCEHL Fraser Valley Thunderbirds last season.

The three stars of the game were 91原创's Carroll (first) and Howe (second), and Aldergrove's Spak (third). 

Trappers are currently fourth in the seven-team Harold Brittain Conference of the Pacific Junior Hockey League, while Kodiaks are seventh.
