Vancouver is coming off a 103-92 victory against the Winnipeg Sea Bears, and heading into today's battle in Ontario.

It's game day, and counting down to a 4:30 p.m. (PT) tip off this afternoon in Brampton, B.C.'s pro basketball team is looking to clinch a playoff berth as the local team heads into the end of the season.

Vancouver Bandits, currently sitting 12-5, are taking on the Brampton Honey Badgers (6-12) tonight at CAA Centre.

A Vancouver victory tonight or a Winnipeg Sea Bears victory over the Calgary Surge, guarantees that the Bandits can finish no lower than second place in the CEBL's western conference.

A second-place finish in the western conference guarantees that the 91Ô´´-based professional basketball team would at least host a semi-final playoff home game at 91Ô´´ Events Centre (LEC) on Sunday, Aug. 4.

If the Bandits finish atop the conference standing, then the Bandits will advance directly to the CEBL's championship weekend in Montreal – as a result of receiving the bye directly to the western conference finals.

Following tonight's game in Brampton, have two more road games to wrap up the regular season tomorrow versus the Scarborough Shooting Stars and this Sunday against the Montreal Alliance.

For those anxious to follow their progress, this afternoon's game can be viewed on and.

In the meantime, the Bandits are gearing up for a little community interaction next month.

Once again the club's 3X3 Summer Clutch is on the books for August, at LEC.

In the joint program between Basketball BC and the Bandits, the Clutch will be held Saturday, Aug. 24, with U10 to U18 boys, girls, and adult division (men and women) playing.

Organizers say that event will feature at least five games, all at LEC.

This 3x3 Clutch is designed to increase awareness and interest in 3x3 basketball through collaborative events hosted across British Columbia throughout the calendar year, with teams of three to five athletes, vie for supremacy on the court.
