Aldergrove mauled by Creston cats

The Kodiaks mopped up their local competition but placed fourth in the provincial championships.

After a stellar and dominant season in the Pacific Junior Hockey League, the Aldergrove Kodiaks couldn鈥檛 quite find their way onto the podium April 10 in Creston.

Fighting for the Creston Cup, the Kodiaks came fourth in the tournament.

Their final game, for the bronze, saw them fall 3-0 to the Creston Valley Thunder Cats.

Aldergrove goalie Dawson Rodin made 41 saves.

The ultimate victor of the tournament was the Beaver Valley Nitehawks, who downed the Campbell River Storm 6-2, capturing their sixth Provincial Junior B Championship.
