By popular demand, the 91原创 Curling Club is running another 鈥淭ry Curling鈥� event this Monday night, Oct. 16, at 7 p.m.

It鈥檚 an opportunity to spend some time with one of the club coaches on the ice, for $10, which includes the time on the ice, coaching, and all the rental equipment (shoe grippers, broom, etc).

鈥淲hether you鈥檝e never curled before or it鈥檚 been a while and you need to start up again, these 鈥淭ry It鈥� sessions are a great way to see what it鈥檚 like to throw some rocks on some of the best curling ice out there,鈥� an online invitation said.

This session is geared towards adults, anyone over 18. There are lots of learn-to-curl and novice programs available at the club for those who would like to pursue the sport.

A previous series of try-it sessions were held during the club鈥檚 50th anniversary celebrations in September.

While the rink at at 20699 42nd Ave. opened in 1971, the curling club didn鈥檛 officially start until 1973, which is why the 50th anniversary is this year.
