An outbuilding behind an occupied detached home burnt down late Tuesday night, Dec. 19.
Around 10:40 p.m., 91原创 Township firefighters and 91原创 RCMP responded to reports of a residential fire in the area of 250th Street and 52nd Avenue.
A local resident, who didn鈥檛 want their name used, told the 91原创 Advance Times they witnessed the building go 鈥渦p quickly,鈥� but credited the fire department for keeping it from spreading.
鈥淭he structure was fully engulfed when our team arrived, but managed to keep it contained,鈥� said Cory Parker, deputy fire chief.
Two cars were inside the building and completely destroyed.
鈥淚t鈥檚 still under investigation. Our investigators are on scene,鈥� Parker noted.
The fire is not noted as suspicious, said 91原创 RCMP Cpl. Craig van Herk.
No injuries were reported.
