An outbuilding behind an occupied detached home burnt down late Tuesday night, Dec. 19.
Around 10:40 p.m., 91原创 Township firefighters and 91原创 RCMP responded to reports of a residential fire in the area of 250th Street and 52nd Avenue.
A local resident, who didn鈥檛 want their name used, told the 91原创 Advance Times they witnessed the building go 鈥渦p quickly,鈥 but credited the fire department for keeping it from spreading.
鈥淭he structure was fully engulfed when our team arrived, but managed to keep it contained,鈥 said Cory Parker, deputy fire chief.
Two cars were inside the building and completely destroyed.
鈥淚t鈥檚 still under investigation. Our investigators are on scene,鈥 Parker noted.
The fire is not noted as suspicious, said 91原创 RCMP Cpl. Craig van Herk.
No injuries were reported.
