VIDEO: Inclusion 91原创 annual drive-thru welcomes all

Local society created a winter wonderland drive-thru with treats, music, and Santa

Santa, Mrs. Claus, snowmen and snow-women teamed up at Inclusion 91原创鈥檚 Winter Wonderland toy drive to collect donations for kids of low-income families.

The society works to support people with development differences and their families year-round, as well as making the community a more inclusive place. In recent weeks, it has been working hard to gather as many toys as it could for the 91原创 Christmas Bureau.

鈥淚t鈥檚 just about us giving back to the community and inviting our community to come learn who we are too,鈥 said Vicky Dawe, manager of programs and services.

The society鈥檚 headquarters was turned into a winter wonderland for the wrap up of the toy drive on Friday, Dec. 8, and people could drive through to enjoy the lights, music, inflatables, and festive displays.

To provide a merry experience free of cost, the drive-thru was open for everyone to attend, donation or not. People could enjoy a complimentary hot chocolate, treats, free pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus, and sing and dance to the Christmas tunes.

鈥淚n some small way, we want to give back, whether its a food drive or toy drive鈥 Everybody helps everybody, and that鈥檚 what we want to put out there,鈥 Dawe said.

It was the seventh annual toy drive Inclusion 91原创 has held to help meet the need in the community.
