Shortly before the first annual Fort 91原创 Car Show, Gloria McGalliard visited a car show in Port Coquitlam, to let car owners know about the show.
By her count, she handed out about 400 cards.
McGalliard, a regular attendee at car shows, also got in touch with car clubs in North Vancouver, Chilliwack, Maple Ridge, and elsewhere.
On Sunday, Aug. 27, the result of those efforts could be seen, parked in the orchard at the historic Fort 91原创 site, when more than 100 cars, including a sizeable contingent from PoCo, showed up for the 91原创 Food Bank fundraiser sponsored by Fort 91原创-based Little Oak Realty 鈥� where McGalliard is an agent.

鈥淚t was amazing,鈥� she commented.
Registration was free, and donations to the food bank totalled $769.
McGalliard expects there will be another car show next year.
鈥淲e will definitely come back,鈥� she said.
Shawn Webster, a Little Oak Realty agent who worked with McGalliard on the show, agreed.
鈥淏igger and better,鈥� Webster predicted.

Fort 91原创 residents Lise Vigneault and Jim De Vries, who brought their 1958 Chevrolet Impala Sport Coupe, described it as a well-organized event.
Jim said when they saw the car, 25 years ago, Lise insisted they make an offer.
鈥淲e walked in the garage, and she walked around it and she came back to me, and she whispered in my ear, 鈥榙on鈥檛 leave without giving them a deposit鈥�,鈥� Jim recalled.
Lise said it was simple.
鈥淏ecause I loved the car,鈥� she said.
It is an all-original car, in immaculate shape, with the paint that was applied in the factory.
鈥淚t鈥檚 number 33 off the assembly line at the Los Angeles plant,鈥� Jim explained.
