No known cause of the fire at an abandoned house near 76 Avenue and 202A Street in 91原创 Thursday afternoon (Aug. 31).
Russ Jenkins, deputy fire chief of the 91原创 Township fire department, said the house was abandoned and slated for development.
鈥淭here was no power or gas at the house,鈥� he told the 91原创 Advance Times.
At about 3:40 p.m., fire crews responded to reports of a house fire near 91原创 Events Centre.

Jenkins said the fire was contained and put out after about two hours.
Police were also on scene to secure the area and assist the fire department, said Cpl. Crag van Herk, media spokesperson with the 91原创 RCMP.
鈥淭here is some indication of squatters occupying it at one point, but no obvious indication of criminality,鈥� he said.
On social media, 91原创 and Surrey residents reported seeing the plume of smoke from Clayton Heights and 91原创 City.
