On Saturday, Aug. 26, Wiggins, an Aldergrove resident who operates Denise Wiggins Real Estate in 91原创, and some firefighter volunteers, held a bottle drive in the parking lot of the Royal Canadian Legion Aldergrove branch.
鈥淎 trailer full of bags and bottles,鈥 was the result, Wiggins told the 91原创 Advance Times, describing the response as 鈥渞eally good.鈥
It was the first of what she expects will be an annual event.
Wiggins said anyone who missed Saturday鈥檚 event can still contribute by bringing bottles in clear, transparent plastic bags to any Return-It Express Location (in Aldergrove, the location is 27482 Fraser Highway).
鈥漊se my phone number (604-880-5603) to log in at the kiosk,鈥 Wiggins advised.
鈥漃rint your labels (one per bag) and drop them off.鈥
Cash donations are also accepted, Wiggins added. 鈥淐ontact me for details.鈥
All proceeds will go to the snack program, which has been operated by the firefighters charity since 2014, providing healthy snacks to students in need at 23 schools in the Township of 91原创.
